Following her rescue from the island, Lemorro was quickly nursed back to full physical health, but her emotional recovery was one that would take close to two years. Traumatised by her ordeal and terrified of people, our behaviour team had to work closely and steadily with her for some time before she could be made available for adoption. But just look at her now – leading the way on walks and happily receiving tickles and scratches from people like it’s the most natural thing in the world!
