This is a unique story of hope. Lamoonnoi arrived at our shelter back in April 2021 after being caught in a snare trap. Her paw was severely injured by the metal wire, and her skin was completely lacerated. Not only was Lamoonnoi severely injured, she was also terrified of anyone coming close to her… 💔 After her emergency surgery to amputate the injured leg, Lammoonnoi had to face a very long recovery.

By May, she had completely recovered physically, but her psychological wounds were far from healed. Our behaviour team spent months trying to make this sweet dog as comfortable as possible, and she only started regaining a bit of confidence after several months… It was only this January that Lamoonnoi made quite the change 😍. Her behaviourist Eve said, “It was heartbreaking to see Lamoonnoi so terrified of me for such a long time. I still cannot believe how far she has come since the very first time I met her”.
