For more than 100 million years, sea turtles swam vast distances across the world’s oceans, performing a vital role in marine and coastal ecosystems. Yet within just one lifetime, humanity and the way we consume, fuel, and finance our societies have pushed sea turtles to the brink of extinction.

Threats to sea turtles include egg and turtle poaching for consumption and illegal turtle trade. Your donations will ensure our field teams can efficiently continue their work to protect endangered sea turtles and their habitats. This little hawksbill turtle hatchling comes from an egg saved by WWF-Malaysia’s Turtle Guardians and our partners from being consumed or sold.
