Worldrabiesday Is Just Around The Corner, And All ..

#WorldRabiesDay is just around the corner, and all throughout September we are raising awareness of this fatal disease which claims thousands of lives every single year all across the world.🌍

According to the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), a number of countries in Latin America have reduced human and dog rabies by over 90% thanks to mass dog vaccination.

With a minimum of 70% dog vaccination coverage, countries can effectively end dog-transmitted rabies in people for good. Safe and effective vaccines are available, and this method is the only way of eliminating the disease at its source, besides being the most cost-effective and humane solution.

Here in Thailand πŸ‡ΉπŸ‡, Soi Dog Foundation has sterilised and vaccinated over 600,000 street animals over the years which helps with this goal and protect dogs and cats as well as people.πŸ•πŸˆπŸ’‰

Found in all continents except Antarctica and some island nations, rabies is present all over the world and has been present among us for thousands of years. People who suffer the impact of rabies are poorer nations. It directly affects their livelihoods and claims their lives too.

Please come together to raise awareness and help eliminate this deadly virus. #zeroby30 πŸ™ŒπŸ»
