SPCA TRIBUTES—BAO BEI

NO DOG IS TOO OLD FOR ADOPTION

Despite being diagnosed with a brain lesion and having just lost her sight and use of her hind legs, Bao Bei’s family gave her a #foreverhome. She was 16 years old when they adopted her.

Her family would always say that their paths were meant to be crossed. They first came across Bao Bei on a lost-and-found notice, followed her story and shared the joy when she was claimed by her ex-family, only to find her again on the SPCA’s rehoming notice board. To them, age was just a number. “Senior animals deserve as much love as any other animals.”

Bao Bei spent her remaining time with her family being showered with endless amounts of love, cuddles, and the yummiest food. At 16 with a large number of health issues, they embarked on her final journey alongside her. She was the sweetest old lady till the end.

“She has taught us that a dog is never too old to love and to be loved. It’s been a long 16 years on earth and my only regret is that our paths didn’t cross sooner. Thank you for coming into our lives, Bao Bei. Till we meet again at the rainbow bridge.“
