Continuing with the Songkran festivities, here is our very own Carson taking part in the the Thai New Year celebrations.🎉⁠

Locals believe that water is spiritually purifying and will cleanse away bad luck and during the new year, sprinkling drops of water by elders on family and the community is used as a form of blessing for the new year ahead.💗⁠

In recent times, the festival has become popular amongst locals and tourists where masses of people will get together to celebrate the new year, splashing in water and cooling off during the intense April heat.🌡️⁠

⁠

Of course, two years running these celebrations have been paused due to the pandemic, but it hasn’t stopped our water loving dogs like Carson from enjoying the blessings of a bath or a running sprinkler.💦⁠

Happy Thai new year from Carson and friends here at Soi Dog Foundation and they want to say thank you for all you do for them to keep them healthy and happy until they are ready to find their #foreverhome⁠
