This is one of our senior dogs Pappu. He is going in for a surgery to Gasing today. He is having abscess / salivary mucosil under his throat that makes it difficult for him to eat and he needs surgery. His red blood cells are a bit low and the vet will sedate him mildly today and will slice off some of the abscess first to make him be able to eat. His surgery is at 2pm today. Pappu came to us more than six years ago. He was raised in a temple in Klang and when the old temple committee was replaced with a new one, Pappu lost him home. The new committee wanted Pappu out and one of the devotees reached out to us for help.

Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better

Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better is a canine welfare programme initiated by non-profit organisation Community Development and Integration Initiative (CDII).

MDDB's main activities revolve around rescuing dogs from the local council pounds as well as off the streets. Once they have been rescued, the dogs are vaccinated and neutered before being put up for adoption.
