Terengganu hosted the largest green sea turtle landing in Peninsular Malaysia. We are currently looking for individuals who are passionate in joining our turtle conservation efforts.

Position: Project Assistant
Working Location: Setiu and Paka, Terengganu
Contract Period: April – October 2021
.
Responsibilities:
1. To conduct nightly beach patrols (8.00 pm – 5.30 am) at key nesting beaches and collecting data under the supervision of Marine Conservation Officer.
2. To assist in turtle stranding.
3. To assist in community outreach activities when needed.
4. To prepare daily reports of turtle nesting.
5. To assist the team on other relevant work.

Requirements:
● Fresh graduates (minimum diploma) are encouraged to apply.
● Able to work with minimal supervision or act on issues with professionalism.
● Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and English (ability to speak in local dialect is an advantage).
● Computer literate (MS Words and Excel).
● Good interpersonal skills, able to work in a team and independently.
● Possesses a valid driving license, preferably, with the ability to drive a manual car.
● Good understanding of current issues especially knowledge on environmental and conservation issues would be an added advantage.
● Diligent and able to maintain the project vehicle and equipment at its optimum state.
● Able to follow terms and conditions set by WWF-Malaysia.
