It was a very busy weekend for MDDB. Casino, who has been at the vets for multiple problems, is finally home. His well meaning feeder had sprayed some solution to kill the maggots in his neck would. The dead maggots became trapped in the scar tissue and started calcifying which put pressure on the nerves. Half of one of his front limbs is also missing and Casino does not want to stand up on three and walk but crawls instead. We have two suggestions – which is to amputate the damaged limb or to fix him with a prosthesis.

Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better

Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better is a canine welfare programme initiated by non-profit organisation Community Development and Integration Initiative (CDII).

MDDB's main activities revolve around rescuing dogs from the local council pounds as well as off the streets. Once they have been rescued, the dogs are vaccinated and neutered before being put up for adoption.
