Lenny's Here. We Are Celebrating Blackcatappreciat..

Lenny’s here!

We are celebrating #BlackCatAppreciationMonth with stories few of our lucky black cats who found homes all over the world.

#ThrowbackThursday

This week, we are featuring Manninger, now known as Lenny.

His “mom” met him during a visit to Soi Dog Foundation’s shelter three years ago. Long story short, but turn of events made her decide that she must make this cheeky boy part of her family.

He made his move to his new home in December of 2017, to Switzerland.

He joined a family of family black cats that included a former Soi Dog rescue Ruby who was adopted by Manninger’s mom back in 2016.

Ruby was not pleased by this latest addition to her family. She probably wasn’t willing to give up her position as the only Thai royalty allowed in the house and made sure Manninger knew who was boss from the very beginning.

Luckily, every one else in the family was patient about these high strung feline politics and gave them time and space to agree on a truce.

“Finally, Lenny grew bigger and bigger so Ruby no longer had a real chance and she stopped attacking.

Today, Lenny weighs more than double of Ruby. When they play and “attack”, Lenny is very smooth and gentle with her – a true gentleman.”

We have met some amazing black cats that have the most fantastic personalities. Sadly, unlike Manninger’s mom, most people’s first choice is never a black cat.

Help find black cats find home easily and quickly.

Share your black cats with the world.

Use #BlackCatsPurrever and make their voices heard.
