Tapirs are animals that eat a diet of foliage, fruit, and other plant matter. They are known as “gardeners of the forest” for the important role they play in seed distribution 🌳

World Tapir Day is celebrated to raise awareness about the species of tapir that exist in Central and South America and Southeast Asia & protect it from human activities that harm the species.
