Some of our volunteers on placement within the #CentralForestSpine had the privilege of working with Perbadanan Taman Negeri Perak – Perak State Parks Corporation rangers. After a day’s hands-on learning session, they learned how to lay camera-traps to film forest animals in their natural environment, by tracking them to the ‘salt lick’: a salt lick is important in the ecosystem as it attracts many animals (typically herbivores🥬🥭) where they gather to consume essential nutrients and minerals for growth. The carnivores will wait nearby (they get their essential nutrients from eating herbivores) 🐅🐯🐆!! #Wildlife #RoyalBelumStatePark #Rainforest
