Dear all,

We are happy to share that the owner of the new house we found has agreed to the dogs. However, he wants us to take up tenancy latest by April 15. The location is quite secluded but mot far from Gasing Hospital and that itself is good for us as the house is needed for our disabled, old and blood donor dogs. The rental is RM4,000 a month and we will not have an issue with the monthly payments because, just like how we do it now, MDDB volunteers and directors make a monthly contribution towards rental. But what we cannot afford is to come up with the lump sum of two months deposit, one month rental and half a month utility deposit. The total amount comes up to RM14,000. We also need to make some small renovations to make the house dog proof. We have no choice but to depend on your generosity. We have to move as we are living every day in fear. The authorities are also asking us constantly about the removal of dogs from the current premises. Please help us help the voiceless. Herewith the details:

Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better

Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better is a canine welfare programme initiated by non-profit organisation Community Development and Integration Initiative (CDII).

MDDB's main activities revolve around rescuing dogs from the local council pounds as well as off the streets. Once they have been rescued, the dogs are vaccinated and neutered before being put up for adoption.
