Shirly arrived at Soi Dog in 2022 as a five-week-old pup. She’d been hit by a car, and the injuries to her tiny body meant she needed an urgent amputation of her left hind leg.

If only we could have told that sweet little girl that everything would be okay – that 18 months later, she’d be fully adjusted to life on three legs and on her way to join a forever family in New York! 🇺🇸

Shirly recently celebrated one year in her forever home – a year full of love, growth and adventure. Marking the occasion, her adopters said:

“Happy Gotcha Day to our Shirly! Our first few months together were exciting, but also heartbreaking, seeing such a sweet and gentle dog be so nervous and unsure of how to be loved.

But with time and allowing her space to realize she is in her forever home, she has blossomed into a silly, sassy, and incredibly smart girl who loves car rides, running at the park, going to the beach, and cuddling while watching TV.
