We were happy to be part of the Biodiversity COP16 Discussion Forum, organised by the Embassy of the Republic of Colombia in collaboration with the Asia School of Business, on 24 September 2024.
This was a platform for Malaysian stakeholders to share insights on tackling biodiversity conservation issues in partnership with local communities and indigenous peoples.
WWF-Malaysia participated in the forum’s case study and group sharing session. During this session, the Policy Lead of WWF-Malaysia, Shantini Gunarajan, highlighted a case study on marine conservation, Other Effective Area-based Conservation Measures, and the need for community participation in conservation.
We hope that sharing our efforts will raise awareness and inspire action.
