🎉 Yesterday marked a significant milestone as we formalised our collaboration with Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin – FB Rasmi (UniSZA) through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at WWF-Malaysia’s office in Petaling Jaya.

Our collaborations began in 2018, focusing on community education and outreach programmes in the Setiu Wetlands. This MoU represents a step forward in our shared commitment to advancing research and academic excellence. The MoU outlines several impactful joint activities, including capacity building programmes, joint research projects, academic seminars, and knowledge sharing.

The event also commemorated the launch of a joint research effort between the two organisations which focuses on the application of eDNA approach for painted terrapin conservation in the Setiu Wetlands, supported by CIMB Islamic Bank.

We are confident that this strategic collaboration will spark more initiatives that benefit both people and nature. 🌿🌏
