just now someone persistently wanted us to take 30 dogs that she was feeding. We cannot take in anymore dogs because we are financially strapped and do not have the capacity. 30 more dogs will just kill us. There are many rescuers who have succumbed after not being able to cope. Some neglect their own health because all the money they have goes towards the upkeep of the dogs. Some have died because of this. Some have abandoned their dogs and bolted. Some have suffered mental exhaustion and no longer able to care for their dogs. We do not want to fall in these categories. Please do not put us on the guilt trip that the dogs will die if we do not take them in. If we take them in, it would be us ending up either dead or bankrupt. Please understand.

Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better

Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better is a canine welfare programme initiated by non-profit organisation Community Development and Integration Initiative (CDII).

MDDB's main activities revolve around rescuing dogs from the local council pounds as well as off the streets. Once they have been rescued, the dogs are vaccinated and neutered before being put up for adoption.
