Paws Is Embarking On A Journey Of Catch-Neuter-Vac..

PAWS is embarking on a journey of Catch-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return (CNVR) for stray animals in collaboration with local councils in certain areas. PAWS is targeting 150 animals per month and this initiative will be funded by PAWS.

For this CNVR initiative, PAWS welcomes donations in the form of medium to large pet carriers (minimum size requirement: 90cm length, 62cm breadth, 68cm height).

PAWS is also appealing to members of the public for support through donations for vaccination and neutering costs which can be made directly to:-

Account Number:

3234-926-830 (PUBLIC BANK)

Account Holder:

PAWS ANIMAL WELFARE SOCIETY PETALING JAYA

Donation QR codes and more information are available at paws.org.my/donate/

Donations to PAWS are eligible for tax-deduction under Subsection 44(6) of the Income Tax Act 1967.

CNVR is internationally recognized as the most humane, safe and effective way to deal with the stray animal issue. Using this method, strays in a colony are caught, neutered, vaccinated and then returned to their territory.

CNVR has been enormously successful in reducing stray animal populations, and it also offers them peaceful lives in their territories. In the end, everyone benefits: animals and people. It is effective, responsible and humane. The breeding stops and populations are gradually reduced. Nuisance behaviors associated with mating and breeding, such as fighting and aggression, are virtually eliminated.

CNVR recognizes there is a balance in our urban society, one that includes stray animals. It is a movement that will hopefully continue to grow as more and more people see that it works.

PAWS

PAWS was founded in 1987 by a small group of local and expatriate volunteers. Through their generosity and imagination, PAWS was constructed on a patch of land owned by Sime Plantations on the Subang Airport Road. This distinct group of sheds and a courtyard still stands today and currently homes around 400 cats and dogs.

The staff that work at PAWS include one veterinary surgeon and a number of full-time personnel. The organisation depends entirely on the generosity of the public through donations or proceeds from charitable events organized and run by volunteers.
