What A Turt-Ley Fantastic Week. Weve Been Running ..

What a turt-ley fantastic week! 🎉

We’ve been running a symbolic adoption programme at The British International School of Kuala Lumpur for a whole week and it’s been awesome! 🤩

The atmosphere was electric and the students and their parents were totally on board with saving turtles! The students can’t help but be attracted by Turbo, the adorable turtle plushie, and all the colourful bracelets and bookmarks and “Free the Turtle” soaps that we made 👀

This programme is a continuation of our collaboration with Jenna, a BSKL student who has been raising funds for TCS since a few years ago. You may recall that a few years ago, Jenna painted some turtle artwork, which we printed into postcards. In another year, Jenna and her friends painted more turtles, and we made them into beautiful 2023 desktop calendars. And this year, we’re materialising Jenna’s idea to raise funds for conservation through a school-wide symbolic terrapin campaign ❤️

We thank Jenna for her passion and dedication towards turtle conservation, and BSKL and TY Toys for partnering with us 🐢❤️

Turtle Conservation Society

The Turtle Conservation Society of Malaysia was established in October 2011. The aim of the society is to bring about the recovery of depleted wild populations of turtles, with particular reference to freshwater turtles, in Malaysia through partnerships with like-minded organizations, individuals and local communities as well as through its own programs.
