Nemo Found Her Way Home. Nemo Shelter Name Paula W..

Nemo found her way home. 🐠

Nemo (shelter name Paula) was brought to Soi Dog from the local government pound for her safety in late 2017.

We were delighted when, just a few months later, our amazing partner rescue Pawsitive Match chose her as the first soi dog to join them in Calgary, Canada! 🇨🇦

With their help, it wasn’t long before she found her match – a foster family who soon realised she was the one for them. Here’s an update from them five years on:

“Nemo is my foster fail! I fostered her back in April 2018 and adopted her in June. She was such a sweet but shy and scared dog. She was so afraid of the world, but she instantly grew a bond with me and felt safe with me.

Now, many years later she is living her best life; she is hesitant about some things but also is so much more confident and curious about everything.

She has so many dog friends and enjoys meeting new people. She stops to say hi to every dog on our walks and goes up to people, usually asking for treats. She has also gone on road trips, seen the mountains and gone to many fun dog events.

She has taken over every bed and sofa in our home and will always steal spots from others. The most common comment she gets from people who have met her when we first got her is that she is so much more outgoing and unafraid now.

I’m so grateful to Pawsitive Match and Soi Dog for helping her find a new life where she can feel safe and secure. She is just such a sweet and gentle dog and had such a difficult start to life.”

While our dogs are now unable to be adopted to Canada on account of the CFIA ban, they can find homes in the USA, Europe and here in Thailand.
