No dog deserves to suffer cruelty at the hands of a human, and Johnwick is no exception❗️

This sweet boy was attacked with a gaff – a large fishing hook, just for being playful and innocently chasing other animals in the area where he used to live. The assault left him with horrendous physical wounds, and a shattered spirit. It was heartbreaking to see the pain and anguish on his little face. 💔

When he arrived at our hospital ten months ago, Johnwick was shaking with fear whenever a human came near. Today, after receiving care and behavioural support at the Gill Dalley Sanctuary, Johnwick’s spirit is finally starting to heal. While he is still learning to trust other humans again, he has formed a strong bond with his behaviourist, Eve – his smile speaks a thousand words ❤️.
