Peaky is our 7 years young local cat 🌨

Peaky came to us completely blind in both eyes. We found out that he was born with microphthalmia, which means he was born with smaller than average eyes. He later developed cataracts, causing him to lose his vision entirely.

His condition has not stopped him from being an active and adventurous cat. 🤸‍♀️ He loves walking around the shelter and showing affection towards the staff who cleans his cage and feeds him daily. Peaky has sooo much love to give to the people around him and is really comfortable with hoomans, never letting his conditions stop him from being the warm-hearted cat he is. 🐱🐾

To ensure their safety and welfare, interested parties are required to fully mesh their windows to prevent the likelihood of “high rise syndrome”. This happens when cats get gravely injured or lose their lives after a fall from height.
