Meet Ah Girl, our 16 year old sweetheart who is currently looking for a foster. She is being treated for heartworm, a disease where her heart is clogged with worms and is unable to push out enough blood out to the rest of her body.

Our furries who have illnesses, just like Ah Girl, are often being stereotyped as having behavioural issues and being extremely sick. Ah Girl is the complete opposite of that, and is in fact really affectionate towards us hoomans here at the shelter! She is an adoring one and loves her treats 🦴
