Soidog20years Continued. With Permanent Sheltering..

#SoiDog20Years continued 🧡

With permanent sheltering and treatment facilities now secured, Soi Dog’s rescue and spay/neuter efforts ramped up.

Following the construction of eight large dog enclosures in 2008, further expansion took place at the shelter in 2009.

Soi Dog’s CNVR (Catch, Neuter, Vaccinate, Return) programme was making real headway, but female dogs with new litters of puppies were still being discovered, and a safe place was needed for them.

Friends of Soi Dog and an association with the American School of The Hague saw the Dutch international school support the building of the first ever puppy enclosure at the shelter.

In the same year, Gill Dalley became the first non-Asian by birth to be named as Asian of the Year by CNA in Singapore in recognition of her impact on animal welfare in the region.
