As many of us know, fireworks can be extremely frightening for dogs. Let alone when you’re blind, elderly and living on the streets. 😔 Thankfully, there was a kind and considerate local who was rather concerned about Moral and how she would cope with the New Year’s Eve celebrations.

Their biggest fear was her being spooked and running away. Despite being a street dog, Moral did have a feeder and knew her surroundings. If she were to run away in panic, she’d have no way to find her way back, and would be in imminent danger. 😧

Thankfully, with the support of people like you, we were able to bring Moral to the safety of our shelter. And it’s a good thing she arrived when she did. When our veterinary team started to examine her, it was clear that she was suffering from heat stroke. Something that can be extremely dangerous, especially for dogs of her age.

With the team on hand to help, Moral immediately started to receive treatment to safely bring her temperature down. While she has recovered from the heat stroke, she sadly suffered from a seizure recently whilst she was still recovering from some other health problems. 😔

As Moral continues to recover in our ICU ward, will you please be there for her?
