LET’S PROTECT OUR COMMUNITY CATS TOGETHER

Cats Pawtection Plan

The SPCA is aware and deeply concerned about the recent dog attacks in Ang Mo Kio that have resulted in the tragic loss of over 20 community cats. We understand the impact and devastation that this has on our community caregivers who dedicate time and love for these beloved cats. We share your grief. The SPCA is actively working with the authorities to address this issue.

It is important to note that the loss of habitat due to urbanization often can cause such conflicts. These dogs are being forced out of their homes and have little choice but to venture into other areas. We ask that the public refrain from harming them, but instead, work together to find a solution to address the root cause of the problem that is best for both the cats and dogs.

While we work with the authorities on the matter, we also want to provide support and safeguard other community cats in these affected areas. We appeal to you to help house and care for these at-risk cats temporarily. As our shelters are full with cats and dogs requiring immediate attention, we need your help to keep them safe.

We are looking for individuals who can foster for at least two months to provide these cats with a safe haven.

If you’re able to provide a protective shelter for these cats, please visit spca.org.sg/services/tempfoster [link in bio] for more information and to fill out the application form.

If you are an affected community cat caregiver/feeder, you may use the same link to include details of the cats under your care that require temporary fostering.

Together, we can work as a community to protect our furry friends. 💙
