* Blood Donation Appeal For Emiko *

Emiko was born as a stray kitten in Puchong and she was adopted by a kind lady called Vijaya. Lucky Emiko is truly loved by Vijaya and her family who treat her just like another family member.

Unfortunately, Emiko now at less than 2 years old only, suddenly became very sick 2 weeks ago. She was urgently admitted to a puchong vet and the blood test revealed that her blood count was extremely low. Without further delay, they did a blood transfusion with the help of the clinic’s in-house cat who fortunately matched Emiko’s blood group. Emiko gradually recovered and she was discharged for home recovery.

A week later, Emiko became very weak again and she was again rushed to the puchong vet. Sadly, her blood count decreased drastically again. She was unable to do another blood transfusion immediately then since she already did one just recently.

Emiko is currently on 1 week medication to help stabilise her and regain her strength to prepare her for another blood transfusion next week.

Emiko’s blood group is AB and she would require blood group A for the blood transfusion.

- Healthy cats of aged 1 to 8 years old.

- Fully vaccinated

- Weighs above 4kg.

- Blood group A.
