KERMIT, THE BABY MONITOR LIZARD APPEALS FOR RESPONSIBLE PRACTICES

Sometime in November 2022, we rescued a very beautiful young water monitor lizard (we named ‘Kermit’), with a #fishhook lodged inside. It took a #surgery to remove the hook. Thankfully Kermit made full recovery and was released back to the #wild in a couple of weeks.

Even though this sounds like a happy ending, ACRES wishes to reduce the need for rescue through awareness and action. This and many more such fish hook rescues could have been prevented, if everyone could take action.
