FOUND A BABY BIRD? WE’VE GOT YOU COVERED!

Our rescue officers were alerted to a baby sparrow and successfully reunited the sparrow with its parents!

Here’s what you should do if you find baby birds!:

✅Contact us: Call our 24-hour wildlife rescue hotline

✅Identify: Is the bird a hatchling, nestling, or fledgling? (or send us photos/videos via whatsapp and we will help you)

✅Locate: Look for a possible nests and send us photos of the surrounding area

✅Babysit: Leave the baby bird where you found it, give it some space and observe if its parents come back

✅Build: Make a nest with simple items you can find to keep the baby bird safe

Please contact our hotline and our rescue officers will provide you with the resources and advice you may need to do the above.

DO NOT:

❌Bring the baby bird home

❌Try to feed the baby

❌Try to give the baby liquids

This might seem like alot to do but baby wild animals have the highest chance of survival when reunited with their parents and it is our priority and YOU can be the difference!

Enjoy a tour of ACRES guided by our staff/volunteers! Get to visit our Outdoor Sanctuary and meet the various animals from the illegal wildlife trade who have found a temporary home at ACRES.

2) Henna art sessions

Get Inked!

With beautiful patterns drawn by our volunteer henna artist.

3) Garland making sessions

Flower Power!

Try your hand at making your own flower garland.

All garlands will be given as enrichment to the animals.
