Another New Stray Cat Was Recently Trapped In A De..

Another new stray cat was recently trapped in a densely populated condominium in Puchong for neutering.

Since the tnrm programme was implemented in this condominium 2 years ago, a total of 50 stray cats have been caught and neutered. From a place that was previously swamped with a rapid growing number of stray cats and kittens, the condominium’s Management is now very pleased with the current well-managed, low stray population environment.

The success of tnrm programme in this condominium in Puchong lies in the proactive tnrm actions and ongoing management by a small group of volunteers, coupled with the support of the Management. The resident stray cats there are all neutered and any new strays spotted will be promptly trapped and neutered by the volunteers. Other residential areas who wish to emulate its success may similarly set up a team of small volunteers, preferably coupled with the support of the residential committee, Management and/or residents where possible, who can unconditionally work together as a team to execute ongoing tnrm activities to effectively manage the stray population within your community.

Tnrm has proven to be a successful and effective humane method in managing strays in many advanced countries. With the application over time, the stray population in the area will stabilize and gradually reduce, and the community will then have a much easier to manage strays situation, leading to a more peaceful and harmonious co-existence between the strays and members of the community.

Meanwhile, we wish to thank Mr Sim and our member for sponsoring the neutering and vet costs for this cat.
