This morning let us bring you to Gunung Lesong, a mountain that was historically revered as a sacred place among the Ibans in Sarawak. This mountain is also home to orangutans. The presence of orangutans is one of the factors that led to the gazettement of Gunung Lesong as a national park in 2013. We are working together with government agencies and communities in managing the area for the benefit of people and orangutans. Stay tuned for the next post on orangutan habitat in Sarawak.
