WWF-Malaysia and CIMB Islamic Bank CIMB Malaysia recently launched a partnership project to inventorise and catalogue the botanical treasures of Fraser’s Hill Forest Complex. The 3-year partnership, also in collaboration with Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM) will document the diversity and endemic status of the flora species in the Fraser’s Hill Forest Complex.

This botanical inventory project will also provide assessments and recommendations for conserving rare and endangered species and their habitats. Furthermore, events to raise public awareness about the importance of floral diversity conservation such as the recently concluded ’Flora Saturday Series’ are also some of this project’s outputs.

Our heartfelt appreciation goes to our cherished partners for embarking on this conservation endeavour together with us, to ultimately protect the forest complex as a state park one day.
