Happy First Gotcha Day To Nima. Nima Formerly Elis..

Happy first Gotcha Day to Nima!

Nima (formerly Elisse) came to Soi Dog in 2019 after meeting with a car accident. Her right front leg had to be amputated as a result, and she became one of our many tripawd dogs.

After two years at the shelter, Nima was chosen by our partner rescue Wagmor Pets in Los Angeles, USA. And soon after, she was snapped up by a loving family! Here’s a lovely update from her dad as they celebrate her first Gotcha Day:

“One year ago I adopted this three-legged diva from Soi Dog Foundation and Wagmor Pets. It was absolutely the best thing I ever did. She constantly makes me laugh. She’s so quirky. The pickiest eating street dog EVER. Although we finally have it down… for now.

You’re only allowed to love her on her terms and when she’s willing. Many times I lied down next to her to cuddle and she just gets up and moves to another of her beds. At the park she’ll just head Into the middle of the field 30 yards away from all the other dogs and just lay there and chill. On those rare times she decides to really run, she’s really fast which surprises everyone.

Most of all she is just incredibly sweet and gentle which is amazing considering the challenges she had before she got to me. I have to credit Linn from Soi Dog adoption team for how good care she took care of Nima physically and emotionally after her leg was amputated. I’m so grateful she fostered Nima before she came to the US. I’m 100% positive that care enabled her to become the dog she is.

After too many people told me to do it, I’ve created Instagram and TikTok for Nima. You can follow her at @nimathedivadog”
