Remembering Pinky

Pinky, 2002-2022 🌈
Do you remember Pinky? We first shared her story as part of Responsible Pet Owner’s Month last February. Today, we want to share it with you again in her memory as sadly she has now left us.
The much-loved pet of a local family, Pinky first came to Soi Dog for treatment for cataracts in 2017. In the years that followed, she became a regular patient, visiting the shelter every few days for fluid therapy to support her kidneys.
Although small, Pinky was mighty, and she held onto her strong appetite and lust for life despite her age and ailments. Unfortunately, those ailments eventually became too much for her to bear, and she passed away last week surrounded by her family and her favourite vets at the grand old age of 20 years and 4 months.
Pinky’s story serves as a wonderful example of what true pet ownership is: a life-long commitment. Her family loved and cared for her for two decades, from when she was a bright young pup right up until her last day when she was a sprightly but sick senior.
RIP Pinky. We hope there’s plenty of your favourite rice soup wherever you are 🍲
