It was a long time ago when we met this sweet girl for the first time… She was the victim of a brutal act of cruelty: someone tied a rope around her back, so tight that it cut through her skin, leaving a terrible wound 😥💔.

After months of treatment and loving care, Whitney has just moved out of the hospital. She is now experiencing life at the shelter for the first time. Whitney was heavily traumatised when we first met her. She wouldn’t let anyone touch her or get close to her… Thanks to your support and the hard work of our behaviour team, this strong girl is slowly making some progress and rebuilding confidence 🐾😍. In this clip you can see a glimpse of Whitney’s life at the shelter, slowly adapting to the new environment and becoming more and more confident every day.

Established in 2003 in Phuket, Thailand, Soi Dog is Southeast Asia's largest organisation helping stray animals. The Gill Dalley sanctuary in Phuket is home to over 1,600 animals.
