Poor Petra was born in a dangerous area where street dogs like her weren’t welcome. Every day must have been a struggle for survival. Her light in this dark time, though, was a kind man who fed her every day and alerted us when he noticed she’d developed a painful-looking limp.

X-rays revealed an old fracture to one of Petra’s front legs which needed to be surgically repaired with a plate and screws. This not only restored her mobility but her smile too. And what a treat it is to see this stunning tricolour girl smile!
