Cat Squatter Rescued At Uob Plaza

CAT SQUATTER RESCUED AT UOB PLAZA

#SPCASingapore was first notified of a cat (with a neck growth) stuck in a drain at Raffles Place of UOB Plaza by a concerned caller who checks up on her regularly. However, sneaky kitty was nowhere to be found when our Animal Rescue Officers first went down. Thankfully the facility officers contacted us once again when kitty made a re-appearance.

Our officers were led to the ventilation fan room where they managed to distract kitty with delicious treats! Successfully distracting her, she was secured with a catch pole and secured into the carrier.

According the the team at UOB Plaza, kitty has been a squatter at their area for at least 2 years now! The facility management team has been advised to seal up all holes to reduce the possibility of animals getting trapped in the building.

Kitty has since been claimed by her caller, who will be bringing her to a private vet to get her neck growth checked. Thank you to everyone for your concern and we hope kitty will be safe and well. 💙

Rain or shine, the SPCA’s animal rescue team is here to help animals in distress. If you’re keen to join the SPCA team to help keep our animals safe, please email weikiang@spca.org.sg for more details on the available jobs.
