In Between Emergency Vet Visits With A New Very Po..

In between emergency vet visits with a new very poorly kitten found the previous week, volunteer, Lisa discovered a probable abandoned pet when she saw a tail sticking out from behind a door to a basement car park in her condomonium in Puchong. With heart in mouth and fearing the worst, on inching the door carefully back, she thankfully found alive, but looked unwell, stressed and nervous.

Dora obviously knew she needed help and the right human to trust as she was Lisa’s easiest catch yet, walking straight into the carrier herself. Rushed immediately to our local panel vet, Dora was diagnosed with chronic rhinitis/flu and was suffering from heavy nasal discharge, thick phlegm and blocked nose. And being FeLV positive, she requires a longer period of at least 2 months to treat her severe respiratory illness.

After 2 weeks of intense treatment and hospitalisation, Dora’s condition has vastly improved and we could discharge her to continue her daily treatments in the volunteer’s base. We could finally see her loveable personality starts to shine, making it impossible to understand her fate. Once she has recovered, we will vaccinate and spay her in hope for her to lead a better life ahead.

Dora is such a friendly and sweet girl, and she must have previously been a domesticated pet and we are seeing more of these cases abandoned at the volunteer’s site. Please help spread awareness about the irresponsibility of abandoning your pets especially when they fall sick in terms of animal welfare, leaving the poor domesticated pet to struggle for survival in the streets, exposing the animal and putting other cats at risk from contagious diseases, not to mention the extra pressure it puts on overstretched volunteers/members and extremely limited resources.

Super sweet-natured Dora was badly let down by her former human who irresponsibly dumped her in a basement carpark. She obviously doesn’t understand what she did wrong. Nevertheless, Dora’s past ill-treatment hasn’t dampened her love of humans and she loves fuss and pats and returns these with so much affection and gratitude.

This very special girl is FeLV positive and is looking for a very special friend who can give her the best years of her life in the comfort she deserves as a 100% indoor cat. Is there someone out there who is able to turn this gorgeous girl’s life around as the only cat in the home? Or do you have a lonely neutered FeLV positive cat that needs a life-long companion? If yes, Dora would be the perfect choice and she will thank you for it every day for the rest of her life. Please get in touch with us at 0163661388 if you are able to offer Dora a permanent loving home.

For Dora’s bills, we seek your kind generosity to help sponsor either partially or fully. The total cost is RM1,315.60 (ie. RM1,060.60 based on emergency/out of hours’ consultation, tests, 2 weeks’ hospitalisation, treatments and RM255 for her impending spaying).

You may perform online fund transfer to our bank account details below and leave a comment here or PM us on the sponsorship amount so that others can sponsor the balance if any shortfall:
