Forrex Finds Her Furrytailending. Forrexs Rescue S..

Forrex finds her #furrytailending!

Forrex’s rescue story isn’t one for the squeamish… The man who found her back in 2019 described coming home to a trail of blood with a suffering street dog at the end. Forrex was in his bathroom with a fractured jaw and blood coming from her nose and mouth. No one knows exactly what happened to her, but our best guess is she was hit by a car and ran into the nearest place for safety. Fortunately, she was rescued, and our vets were able to repair her jaw with surgery.

Fast-forward to July 2021 and, after just over a year and a half at the shelter, Forrex was chosen by our wonderful partner rescue Wagmor Pets in Los Angeles, USA. She was one of 86 lucky dogs who were able to fly to the USA before the CDC’s import ban took effect in July – a huge feat only made possible by your support.

We were thrilled when, a few months later, the Wagmor team shared the news that Forrex had found her home and was being doted on by her adopters. Here’s what her new parents have to say about life with this black beauty, now known as Mabel:

“Andrew and I wanted to reach out to you all and send you some pictures of how Mabel (renamed from Forrex) has been doing over the past couple of months. She has been an absolutely joy in our lives, and we have loved the opportunity to watch her learn, grow, and be spoiled!

She loves going for sniffs in downtown Culver City, sleeping on our couch, eating the most expensive dog treats she can find, and chasing sea gulls at the beach. She’s learned to love the car and has become an awesome travel buddy, going with us all the way up to Northern California on a week long vacation. We even dressed Mabel up as a vampire, and we were her little bats for Halloween.

We love her so much, and we are so grateful for the opportunity to love her and take care of her. Thank you all for the work you do!”

The Soi Dog shelter is home to hundreds of dogs like Forrex who are looking for their own #furrytailending. Please take the time to meet some of them here: https://www.soidog.org/adopt-a-dog
