A Letter From Luca. Dear Reader,. Its Soi Dog Kaow..

A letter from Luca!

Dear reader,

It’s soi dog Kaowpong here, now renamed Luca. I was adopted by a loving family in Germany in 2018. I’m writing this letter to share my #furrytailending story with you.

Firstly, let me tell you about my rescue. If I remember rightly – as my eyes were not fully open back then – I was one of a litter of homeless pups. We had nowhere to go, so our mum dug a hole under a hotel villa and we lived there. Someone found us and called Soi Dog who came and rescued us.

It wasn’t long after we were rescued that we found our forever homes. Mine is here in Germany. I’m still convincing my mum to let me try something that’s called “beer” as I heard the humans say it’s very tasty here. Mum keeps saying no. Ugh!

Anyway, I’m doing super great here. Since the first day I arrived, I’ve been loved and cared for like a family member. I can’t describe in words how thankful I am. My family often tell me I’m a very well-behaved and cute little boy. Although they adopted me when I was just a year old, they say I haven’t grown so much. I stayed a little cutie in their eyes.

I play nicely with every other dog I meet. Below are some photos of me with my neighbour’s dog who I like to play with a lot. Sometimes meeting new people can frighten me, but I cope with it by keeping my distance. With my family’s friends or people I see more often, I’m cool and fine. I’m always cautious, but my curiosity slowly wins.

One of my favourite sports here is hunting a mice! I’ve attached some photos of that too. Sorry if this sounds cruel, but I’m not digging them out like the other dogs do. I just patiently wait and stare at the hole. I’m curious about what’s inside, maybe because they’re living in a hole like I used to. I promise you no one is killed here! Like I said, I’m a well-behaved boy.

I wish I could share my whole diary with you, but mum is calling me for breakfast! Before I go, I want to say that if you’re thinking of adopting, please consider a soi dog like me. There are lot of dogs available here: https://www.soidog.org/adopt-a-dog. They’ve had a hard past and deserve a loving home like I do.

Woofs and licks, Luca
