#DYK that Malaysia is one of only two countries in the world today where orang-utans in the wild can be found? Fossil records show that orang-utan populations once spread from China to as far as Sulawesi.
Sadly, our critically endangered Bornean orang-utan numbers are declining due to:
● Habitat destruction caused by land-use changes for timber harvesting and monoculture plantations.
● Fragmented habitats resulting in isolated orang-utan populations.
Help save our Bornean orang-utans; join the WWF-Malaysia Community here: https://community.wwf.org.my Thank you
