Today is World Veterinary Day. 🩺⁠

The day to celebrate those miracle workers in the animal world. Those hands that heal the voiceless.⁠

While we give thanks to all vets all across the world, we wanted to give out a special shout out to veterinarians who work in animal rescues all over the world. Some who work in very difficult conditions and with limited resources to change the world for those who are vulnerable, unwanted and unloved.🥰⁠

Here at Soi Dog Foundation, our team of amazing vets work hard to make transformations happen everyday.⁠

They work under difficult conditions, looking after hundreds and hundreds of animals every day, under immense pressure and trying circumstances. Their patients are animals with no previous medical history, who suffer from various conditions. Dogs and cats who go through a myriad of complications that is a result of the hard lives they’ve lived on the streets. From underlying diseases such as tick-borne diseases to violent accidents that require precision surgery to on going rehabilitation, the kind of ailments they treat are endless.Their days are long, hard and emotionally taxing.⁠

We salute shelter vets everywhere for your diligence,commitment and compassion to the welfare of your patients.⁠
