This is Movi. Everything was normal about him until his skin turned bad. When we took him to the vet, it was not diagnosed as mange or the common canine skin diseases. It eas very puzzling and none of the treatment for skin issues worked. Then he hrew a lump on his neck which quickly ruptured. Still not being able to make sense what was wrong with Movi, he was sent ocer and over again to the vet until a breakthrough revealed that he was suffering from hypothyroidism! We finally had an answer to Movi’s skin issues which was due to his thyroid problem. He has been admitted at Gasing Veterinary Hospital for surgery to remove the lump in his neck. He has also been started on long term medication for hypothyroidism.

Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better

Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better is a canine welfare programme initiated by non-profit organisation Community Development and Integration Initiative (CDII).

MDDB's main activities revolve around rescuing dogs from the local council pounds as well as off the streets. Once they have been rescued, the dogs are vaccinated and neutered before being put up for adoption.
