My first photo is a fascinating organism. I stumbled upon this mushroom while roaming around my backyard, and I realised this fungus was growing out from a branch that my Dad chopped off months ago.

Fungi play an important role in balancing the ecosystem as decomposers and recyclers, making it possible for other flora and fauna to be supplied with nutrients. In short, fungi are all responsible for breaking down organic matter and releasing carbon dioxide, oxygen, nitrogen, and phosphorus into the soil and the atmosphere.
