Following this media article, our hotline received a number of calls asking for removal of bat roosts.
We will like to assure you that bats are very commonly found in Singapore. We do not remove roosts of bats, but respond to cases of injured/stranded bats. The most important thing you can do should you feel worried is to not handle/trap them or get people to get rid of them. That will bring you even closer in proximity to bats, and stress out a population of wild bats.
Bats are protected wild animals in Singapore, playing an important ecological role too. We can try to give tips or suggestions on how you can reduce their roosting sites within built up area (not from their natural habitats) if you have photos.
