Do you remember me? I am the pup who had a rubber band cruelly fired at my eye. It was horribly painful and left me with irreparable damage.

I’m eight months old now, but I was only a few weeks old when I was abandoned at a housing estate. I am luckier than a lot of street dogs though because a nice man swung by most days to bring me and a few others food and water. But then one day, a mean man saw me go to the toilet near his house, and he attacked me. As I have never had a family to teach me about these things, I simply didn’t know any better.

Sadly, my eye couldn’t be saved because it was just too damaged. But I am happy to say that I have adapted well to only having one eye and am no longer in any pain. I still have a few health issues, including a nasty parasite called heartworm, so I will need to stay at Soi Dog for a bit longer. The vets and carers are taking good care of me. And even though that mean man hurt me, Soi Dog has shown me over the last few months that some people are worthy of my trust.
