Our aim to create awareness and educate people who live in, work in and visit Thailand, that eating or trading of dogs and cats is ILLEGAL in Thailand, continues.
Here are a few more billboards that went up recently in two other locations in around Phuket island. More to follow soon.
The billboards, displayed in English, Thai and Burmese, reinforce the message that the selling and eating of dogs and cats is illegal.
In 2014, thanks to your invaluable support, Soi Dog Foundation together with the Thai government successfully ENDED Thailand’s illegal dog meat trade with the passing of the the first ever, legislation aimed at protecting animals against cruelty.
Bringing in laws, makes fighting against the trade, much more realistic, and its results became obvious, when in just a few years, we saw this barbaric trade come to an end, here in Thailand.
Our battle to fight against the trade in other parts of the region, namely Vietnam continues.
