Sanyola and Santeria’s #furrytailending!

Sanyola (now Nara) and Santeria (Saroo) were abandoned as young kittens with the rest of their family in a rubber plantation, inside a sac. They came to Soi Dog Foundation in 2016.

While 2 of these cats found homes fairly quickly, the other 4 weren’t as lucky.

Nearly two years later, a family from the UK visited the shelter and fell in love with one of them:Santeria. So, after waiting for exactly 2 years at the shelter, Santeria finally found his furever home.

However, the story doesn’t end there. A few months later, Santeria’s family lost one of their beloved dogs and while their other dog Phoebe bereaved the loss of her friend of 15 years, who was there to console her other than good ol’ Santeria?

After this sad loss, but also seeing how well Santeria settled in their home, his family decided that they would like to offer another Soi cat the chance to join their family. It was such a happy day when they eventually decided to adopt Sanyola who, joined her sibling and her new family a few months later.

Santeria and Sanyola are living the dream life, hanging out in the garden, basking in the sun, participating in occasional sibling squabbles but most importantly reminding everyone that dreams come true for those who wait and that EVERY Person out there can change the life of a (or two) rescued cat or dog.
