An update on little Ambrosia who is so traumatised by her past right now that she tries to bite. And who can blame her? Dumped when her owners no longer wanted her, it’s clear she has never been loved or cared for. Her condition is devastating. Now imagine if there had been nowhere for her to go?

As you read this, work is continuing on the expansion of the Soi Dog shelter and your support is urgently required. We must create more space to ensure that desperate dogs like Ambrosia are never turned away! Please donate now at https://bit.ly/Saving_Ambrosia

Ambrosia arrived at our shelter after we received a call from the woman who’d found her. She had spent a long time trying to get close to this poor girl, who was absolutely terrified. After our Animal Rescue Officer managed to get her, she was rushed to the Soi Dog hospital and into the care of the waiting vet.

She had a deep, infected wound on her back that was infested with maggots. She was also battling terrible skin problems and was absolutely infested with fleas and ticks. She is so scared, such a pitiful sight. We can only imagine what she has endured.

Thanks to people like you funding her emergency treatment, Ambrosia has now been started on treatment for demodectic manage and the wound on her back has been cleaned out and dressed. She is also on pain relief and antibiotics and was treated for her flea and tick infestation.

Ambrosia has a long journey ahead of her and it will take her some time to learn to trust us. She has never known love so we are determined to give her the time and patience she needs. But imagine if she had to be left on the streets? As you read this, there are countless animals just like her and they too are in desperate need of a safe haven. Please help us help them.

While we continue to care for Ambrosia and so many others, will you please donate so that more sick, injured, abused or abandoned animals can find the safe haven they need? Your kind gift will be used to fund the expansion of the Soi Dog shelter and the construction of desperately needed additional space and facilities. For dogs like Ambrosia, who have suffered enough, please go to https://bit.ly/Saving_Ambrosia to be a part of this.

Thank you.
