诱捕、结扎、原放，

最艰难的总是【诱捕】这一步

这次下乡结扎真的多亏有KL区的独立救援者们和NGO过来热心支援，团队采轮班制，在五条港渔村各处设下村委会自己做的诱捕笼 (超好用的! 他们日夜赶做捕狗笼做到手都受伤了)

无论男女都一样跳下沼泽地、扛笼、熬夜、顶着烈日寻找浪浪踪迹。

无论白天、黑夜，捕狗义工队都要不断巡逻是否有狗狗被捕进笼子，并用大推车把它们转移去活动礼堂登记、节食做手术，还要一直注意惊慌的它们会不会咬笼逃跑

所有的汗水和劳累，努力的方向只有一个，就是结扎替代扑杀!

The most difficult step is always the TRAPPING work when we do TNRM (trap-neuter-release-manage)

We’re very lucky to have help from KL independent rescuers and KL NGO. The whole team is working in shift. Trapping cages are set up in the fishing village of Kampung Sungai Lima. (The cage is hand-made by the village committee team)

No matter boy or girl, they jumped in the swamp to search for strays, carrying the 20+kg trapping cage, work tirelessly in midnight and under the scorching sun.

Day and night, volunteers of the dog trapping team need to patrol to check if any dogs were captured, and transfer them to the event hall to be registered and taken care off.

They also need to keep an eye on these terrified furkids, making sure they don’t escape through biting the cage.

The team has only ONE goal behind all the sweats and efforts – REPLACE CULLING WITH NEUTERING!

*You have more reason to support neutering if you don’t like these stray furkids because only neutering can reduce their population.

Homeless & Orphan Pets Exist (H.O.P.E.) is a non-profit organization and no-kill shelter that aims to improve welfare of strays and abandoned pets around Johor Bahru, Malaysia.

Our four core missions are rescuing, re-homing, sterilization and increasing public awareness of pet ownership and responsibilities. Currently, we are caring for approximately 700 abandoned animals in our shelter located at Lima Kedai.
